Cosmetic Standards, Warranty, and Return Policy
Before Placing Your Order With The Timber Garage:
At The Timber Garage, we take pride in creating one-of-a-kind furniture pieces using solid wood, crafted by hand and finished with care. Our team uses a distressed finish to give each item a warm, reclaimed look that highlights its natural beauty.
Because our furniture is handmade and built from real wood, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. We embrace the natural variations and imperfections—they're part of what makes each piece special and uniquely yours.
Before placing your order, please review the following standards to better understand what to expect:
🔹 Wood & Stain Variations
Every piece of wood has its own grain pattern and tone, so color and grain differences are normal and expected. These natural traits mean no stain will look exactly the same from one piece to the next—even when using the same color.
🔹 Stain Matching
We don't match stain colors based on photos. If you want a specific stain, you'll need to provide both the stain and the type of wood it's intended for. Keep in mind, grain patterns and wood species affect how a stain looks, so exact matches aren't guaranteed.
🔹 Knots & Cracks
Real, hardwood lumber often has knots, checks, cracks, etc. We fill all of these with black epoxy. This provides a smooth surface and reinforces the pieces structurally.
🔹 General Variations in Furniture
Handcrafted furniture comes with character—think small marks, texture changes, and other quirks that add to its charm. Because of the handmade process, dimensions can vary slightly (up to about 1").
🔹 Solid Wood Movement
Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with temperature and humidity. This may cause small gaps in tabletops or slight shifting over time. These changes are a normal part of solid wood furniture and don't affect the structural integrity.
We love the unique look and feel of real, handcrafted wood furniture—if this is not the feel you're after, The Timber Garage may not be your ideal solution!
⚠️ Lead Times
Lead times are estimates only. While we work hard to meet timelines, high demand or delays in production can cause some orders to arrive earlier or later than expected. We always prioritize quality over speed and cannot promise exact delivery dates. If you're ordering for a special event or deadline, please plan ahead accordingly.
